Zyraxon Sovereign License (ZSL)

Our source-available license -- commercial freedom, patent protection, identity safety.

What is ZSL?

The Zyraxon Sovereign License (ZSL) is an original source-available license created for the ZYRAXON ecosystem. It grants broad commercial, modification and redistribution rights while protecting project identity and origin.

Why ZSL?

ZSL combines the permissive core of MIT and Apache with protections those licenses do not offer: patent grants, identity protection, automatic transition to the next-generation license, and enterprise-grade clarity.

The two editions

ZSL-X v2.0.0 (active 2026–2028)

The active license for all ZYRAXON projects. Full commercial rights, modification and fork rights, redistribution with attribution, a patent grant from contributors, project identity protection, and an automatic transition to MEKRA-X in 2028.

MEKRA-X v2.0.0 (auto-activates 2028)

The successor edition and the strictest of the license family. It keeps the same generous core, adds explicit paid-tier protection, and keeps automatic termination for resale or rebranding.
