CLI & TUI
Run the engine, build the sidecar, and drive it from the terminal.
Not every task needs a window. The CLI and TUI run the same engine as the desktop app, from a terminal, on a machine with no display at all.
Common commands
| Command | Does |
|---|---|
bun run --cwd packages/zyraxon dev | Start the interactive TUI against the core engine |
bun run --cwd packages/cli build | Build the Node sidecar the desktop app ships |
bun run --cwd packages/desktop dev | Run the desktop application in development |
bun run --cwd packages/desktop build | Build the Electron shell |
bun run --cwd packages/desktop package | Package the platform installer |
What the TUI gives you
- ▸The same agent modes as the desktop app.
- ▸The same tool registry -- 888 tools, gated by the same tiers.
- ▸Streaming replies and live tool output.
- ▸Session persistence, so a restart resumes where you stopped.

Headless machines
The engine ships its own server, so a machine with no terminal UI and no display still has a working backend to drive.
